licensing systems for the reproduction and distribution of copyrighted materials in print and electronic
formats throughout the world. In early 2004, CCC began the process of re-branding and re-designing
their web site. Responsibilities in this contract position include:
- Act as Technical Lead for implementation of corporation’s new brand and web site.
- Act as Information Architect in consulting with site organization and development of wire frames.
- Utilize XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and Dreamweaver MX as well as Search Engine Optimization best
practices in launching the new site.

Contract Web Developer/Project Manager
PCi Corporation (PCi) is the leading provider of software, data, and services to select segments
of the financial services industry with over 2,000 banking customers, including 90 of the top 100
banks in the United States. In early 2004, PCi began the process of re-branding and re-designing
their
web site. Responsibilities in this contract position include:
- Act as Technical Lead for implementation of corporation’s new brand and web site.
- Utilize XHTML, CSS,
JavaScript and ASP as well as Macromedia Fireworks
and Dreamweaver MX to create W3C Web Standard
compliant (transitional) web site.

Web Developer/Project Manager
Whitlock eBusiness Solutions provided business and technology consulting services and solutions.
Web Developer role included developing, programming, testing, and maintaining interactive websites
using a variety of programs on multiple platforms. In addition to web development, training was provided
in various programs that allowed clients to maintain their web sites. Additional responsibilities
included the development, implementation and maintenance of training materials used in these classes.

Acoustical Solutions
Acoustical Solutions, a Richmond, Virginia company specializing in soundproofing and noise reduction,
wanted a complete overhaul of their web site. Technical lead participation on this project involved
the following:
- Work with designers to ensure technical feasibility in comparison to client’s technical
requirements.
- Produce and optimize graphics for use on the web site.
- Develop and deploy HTML, CSS and JavaScript code, as well as VBScript/ASP code used for the
contact forms.
- Quality Assurance testing, including content, as well as cross-platform and browser compatibility.
- Conduct client-training sessions of Macromedia’s Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop to
allow the client to update and maintain text and graphics.
- Provide customer support for general web site questions, as well as coding and follow-up
training inquiries and problems.
Obici Hospital
When Obici Hospital opened their new 138-bed state-of-the-art facility in Suffolk, Virginia,
in Spring 2002, the facility wanted a new Web site to reinforce Obici Hospital's new brand strategy
in addition to providing valuable information and support for the community, caregivers and patients.
Project duties included:
- Graphic production and optimization.
- DHTML, CSS and JavaScript coding,
as well as VBScript/ASP code used for the contact forms and testing.
- Client training and support.
Short Pump Town Center Kids’ Club Database
The Short Pump Town Center, a newly built mall in Richmond, Virginia, needed a database and
administrative tool to collect and store the names and other information from the children who
had signed up for the Kids Club. As lead developer and designer, responsibilities were:
- Design a small administrative web site based on the existing Short Pump Town Center web site.
- HTML, CSS and ASP coding and Quality
Assurance testing.
- Interact with client on a regular basis to report progress.
Virginia Credit Union
The Virginia Credit Union, an existing client, wanted to overhaul the design and information
architecture of their web site. Project role included:
- DHTML, CSS and ASP coding as well as some ASP.NET.
- Quality Assurance (QA) testing of online banking applications before and after functionality
was added.
- Re-training on newer versions of the software used to maintain their site.
National Association of Convenience
Stores
The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), an industry trade association representing
more than 2,000 convenience retailers operating over 100,000 stores worldwide, needed end-to-end
solutions to help them streamline their business processes. On this Microsoft Content Management
Server project, responsibilities included:
- Receive Microsoft CMS training.
- Develop HTML templates for Microsoft CMS deployment and creating and documenting CSS Style
Sheets for the Application Developers.
